Who is Tracking My Phone?
Privacy Policy
Boredom Technologies LLP ("Boredom Technologies", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Who is Tracking My Phone? Android application (the "App", package: com.variabl.whoistrackingmyphone).
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how that information is used, and how we protect your privacy.
1. Information the App Accesses
The App is designed to help you identify applications on your Android device that may have tracking, monitoring, or other privacy-related characteristics.
Installed Applications
The App may access information about applications installed on your Android device, including application/package names, labels, version information, and other application metadata made available by Android. This access is strictly necessary for the App's core functionality of examining applications installed on your device. We do not sell installed-application information or use it for advertising or advertising-related profiling.
App Usage Information
The App may request Android's Usage Access permission (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS). If you explicitly grant Usage Access, the App may access application usage information made available by Android, such as which applications have been used and related usage timestamps. This permission is used only to provide functionality within the App. You can revoke Usage Access through Android settings at any time.
Local Processing
The App analyzes installed-application and usage information locally on your Android device to generate results and recommendations. The App does not require account registration and does not require you to provide your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or precise GPS location for its core functionality.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Based on the current version of the App, it does not require or intentionally collect:
- Your name or personal profile information
- Contacts or address books
- Photos, videos, or audio recordings
- Precise GPS location coordinates
- Phone call logs or recordings
- SMS messages or chat transcripts
- Passwords or credentials
- Advertising identifiers for personalized tracking
- Financial or payment card details
The App does not require an account or registration.
3. Local Processing and Zero Data Transmission
The App's core analysis of installed applications and usage information is performed strictly on your physical device. We do not sell, rent, or transfer your installed-application information.
The current App does not use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or Google AdMob, and embeds zero third-party advertising SDKs.
4. Android Permissions Used by the App
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES: This permission provides visibility into applications installed on your device. The core purpose of Who is Tracking My Phone? is to examine applications installed on your device and identify apps that may be tracking or monitoring you.
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS: Allows access to Android application usage statistics when explicitly authorized by you through Android settings to calculate sensor attention and background runtimes.
5. Third-Party Services & Advertising
Who is Tracking My Phone? does not display advertisements and does not use advertising SDKs.
We do not use information about applications installed on your device for personalized advertising or marketing profiling.
6. Data Retention, Deletion & Security
Because the App requires no account and conducts its processing locally on your device, Boredom Technologies LLP does not maintain an external database containing your personal information.
You can uninstall the App at any time through standard Android device settings to remove all locally stored preferences.
